Mr B - It does mean I can have help getting back into my chair a moment's notice. Otherwise I would have to wait all night for somebody to come; but sometimes that's preferable especially if I haven't had a lot of sleep. I get to pull the quilt over me, because I don't sleep very well in this chair if the truth were known.

Mrs B - Yes, if he does get into trouble someone will come and help him.

Mr B - It's definitely peace of mind if there was anything in the way - if I thought I might need the police or the hospital then it's certainly peace of mind. We had a salesman come in here and while he was looking at the bird his mate was stealing £400. There was another occasion, it was close to midnight and I was watching an American crime programme, when this fella walks in and says "All I want is your money." So I directed him to two empty cash boxes. He took them out and went away for a few minutes and then came back and said "There's nothing in these." He did get into that cupboard and he took a purse with him which had £400 in it.

Mrs B - I can no longer walk because I have got a trapped sciatic nerve. I know that there's somebody who'll come and help him if he gets in difficulty.

Nephew - I've been left as the sole carer for my aunt and uncle and I'm there to make sure that they're well looked after and now that they've got the Response Service it's fantastic and I get to go about my daily business without worrying what's happening with them.
